After deciding on which Mazda model is best for you, the next step is to choose your trim. Some people may not know the difference between trim and how it can make a change in your driving experience. The 2019 Mazda6 comes with five trim options; Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. However, we will only be comparing the Mazda6 Sport with the Mazda6 Grand Touring trim.
Both trims are fit with an Inline-4 2.5-Liter engine and 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission. In addition, they both have front wheel drive. There are some differences between these two trims, however. We will be focusing on starting MSRP, power, performance and fuel economy. Check out the table to see how they compare.
While the Grand Touring trim has more power and performance, the Sport trim has better fuel economy. If you look at a car for its performance, then the Mazda6 Grand Touring would be the better choice for you. However, if you commute long distances for work or travel a lot, the Mazda6 Sport is the trim for you. The Sport has a fuel range of 426 miles in the city and 574 miles on the highway. On the other hand, the Grand Touring only has 377 miles in the city and 508 miles on the highway.
Despite sharing most features, there are some standard features in the Mazda6 Grand Touring that aren’t available in the Mazda6 Sport. These features include satellite radio, heated seats and a sunroof. However, neither trim has cooled or ventilated seats as an available feature.
