Oftentimes, a manufacturer will redesign a vehicle to propel it into its next generation and then let it sit for years before touching it again. That hasn’t been the case for the second-generation Mazda CX-9, which has been refined, updated and improved every single year since its second-generation redesign. Now, the same can be said for the 2019 Mazda CX-9 in Savannah GA.
The CX-9 was first introduced way back for the 2006 model year, and its first generation lasted over a decade with facelifts in 2010 and 2013. For the 2017 model year, the CX-9 was redesigned as it jettisoned into its second generation. But that hasn’t stopped Mazda from improving it year after year, just as we said, and we expect to see the CX-9 continue improving year after year into the future.
Thanks to a host of technological updates and more, the 2019 CX-9 was able to follow its predecessors lead. Among the most exciting of the improvements is the inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, equipped right at the factory. These features aren’t just available add-on, but rather are standard features on the Touring trim level and up!
Other upgrades include a retuned suspension system that should deliver a smoother and quieter ride that feels more natural as you cruise along as well as greater suppression of sound thanks to making the headliner and floor mats thicker. What’s the benefit of increased sound suppression? You’ll be able to converse with your passengers easier, or listen to the radio without being interrupted by the wind or other exterior elements.
