As we get into the thick of winter it becomes even more important to have a car that can handle the extremes. Even a little bit of snow and ice can throw everything into chaos if you’re not properly prepared for it.
One way to prepare yourself is to make sure your car is ready to drive on the roads and if it isn’t you’ll need to upgrade your vehicle. Having a car with all-wheel drive can help you battle the extremes and better handle it when things get dicey, but not every car comes with AWD as an option.
Which Mazda Cars Have All-Wheel Drive?
Mazda has a lot of good and exciting cars in the lineup including some sedans and SUVs, but let’s see which ones have all-wheel drive available. Starting off in the sedan category, both the 2018 Mazda3 and 2018 Mazda6 don’t have all-wheel drive as an option across any of their trim levels, they are both front wheel drive vehicles. The 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata and MX-5 Miata RF also do not have all-wheel drive as options, but unlike the sedans they are rear wheel drive vehicles.
Each SUV, the 2019 CX-3, CX-5, and CX-9, all come with Mazda’s unique i-ACTIV all-wheel drive® system as an option. The AWD system further helps compliment the Mazda philosophy of providing a smooth and easy driving experience. Mazda vehicles are designed to help better manage the distribution of weight and power as you drive each and are made with the joy of the driver in mind.
